Seems like a super cool guy! Into guitar like me
What brand of cables..??🤔😎
Here’s E7 in the 5 positions: Just the top 4 strings, 2130, 2434, 6757, 9797, 999-10. That’s EDCAG, all Dominant 7.
Do you know Larry militec I use to work in a music store in Montana where Larry made those b benders for lots of people
That was a workout!❤
Just saw Duke with Bonnie Raitt live last night. Duke's playing is so soulful and perfect fit with Bonnie. It was a great show, Bonnie was great of course, and Duke was just stellar!
Paul is one of the greatest pedal steel players to grace the industry. His musical knowledge and depth are beyond comprehension. And to top that he is the most sharing and humble human being you will meet. Thanks you Zac for letting us peek into the world of this genius.
❤wonderful Reggie Young
If you think about it Ralph Moony had a similar approach
Cry of Love came out around the time I was starting on guitar in Southport, NC - about 25 miles from Wilmington. Audley blew my mind with Brother (and still does). Then a few years later I learned he was a Wilmington guy! I still live here. Hope I see him around Wilmington someday just to thank him for the great music and the contribution to my guitar playing. Cheers!
Its so hard to get certified these days.
Zac, please explain to my girlfriend why cleaning the house on my day off was less important than watching every truetone interview of a steel player.
This is great and maybe I’m mono dimensional but I kept thining to myself: “Talk more about country!” lol
I always wanted one of the original Route 66s back in the 90s when I’d see that awesome shield-shaped thing in the musicians friend catalogues. If I’m used to a dynacomp, anybody know if I’d like the copressor on this thing if I decided to use this as my whole micro-pedalboard?
Truetone Lounge is fantastic! Thanks for another great interview!
Great artist! Great interview! Thanks for TrueTone Lounge!
Thanks for doing this interview. Headed to my guitar lesson. My teacher is a big Cousin Kenny fan . I'll let him know about this.
I keep revisiting these reviews to remind myself of the broad range of tones available with the V3 series pedals. I have all of them except the tap delays, which I'd love to find someday. I love how Shawn gets very thick tones that could be usable in hard rock without getting overly saturated.
Oo.. ooooo.. I gotta pause and listen to Taxman..!
“CHANGE THE WORLD “..??!!! Far freakin out man..!💪🏼❤️
I have two guitars I put Fralin pick ups in, and they sound great.
I always thought of Roy Thomas Baker from Journey fame. lol He was quite prolific I'd say.
I think talent like Elliot's always finds fame. They are just too good. And his humble demeanor only flames his greatness. Listening to him speak in the many, many interviews really illuminates his high intellect. Bravo!
What a great guy , beautiful personality! And play’s the guitar with his entire heart and soul. I love watching him play. Good job! Kirk!!!!
Cool interview and good mindset. Glad to see someone still using a Mac Trashcan but just because they’re old doesn’t mean they don’t work. Like others and myself.
do joe next!
Also a masterclass in classic rock riffs 🤘😎✨
SUPER STUFF
Can I connect truetone 1 spot CS7 to a Quad Cortex as is done on the Cioks DC7?
You can gang up multiple 12v outputs. That is a very power hungry unit.
@@TruetoneFX With the 12v outputs grouped together, what is the maximum amperage (mA) that the Truetone 1 spot CS7 can achieve?
@@TruetoneFX With the 12v outputs grouped together, what is the maximum amperage (mA) that the Truetone 1 spot CS7 can achieve?
Probably 800mA or so at 12v
Thanks I don’t know enough about the cages and some of the cords I do know a little bit and I don’t have a electric my acoustic guitar is all I play but you are a great friend and teacher
Damn, that black 12 string Rick is absolutely gorgeous…looking and sounding. Amazing.
Man, I always wanted one of those Boss 6 pedal cases. Had the 3 pedal version about 30 years ago and sold it to a buddy. 90s cool.
Thumb picks on guitar are great, rhythm and LEAD- Johnny Winter Lester Flatt Carter Stanley Jim Eanes was using one when I sang and played with him. Old timers and beginners can get better bluegrass rhythm with a thumb pick. It's easier to snap your thumb across the strings rather than a flatpick, "held tightly while relaxing your wrist". I'm a mandolin and guitar flatpicker but I think I'll be flogging rhythm into my 90s with a thumb pick.
Really great stuff! I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Paul is such a nice, positive, humble man; and damn is he talented. I had no idea he was on so many different albums with so many different styles of music and do many big musicians. Really incredible. Thanks again Zack, great job!
Only aware of Kenny the last year or two… Always a pleasure..!🙏🏻
Russ was in CA band in the early 70s; Road Apple. He was great even then. He was even in a joke band called "Russ Pahl and the Spitfire Polka Band" that played a set at my high school before a Road Apple set. He was so darn good he inspired me to NOT become a musician because what was the point.
Great interview, thank you so much!
His work with Morgan Wallen is amazing! His steel licks are so unique
No tranpretion
Does anybody know the name of the tune that Kenny finishes the interview with, or is this the only recording of it. Absolutely beautiful.
Every one of his guitars rounded great through that amp! My fav? The Les Paul Standard.
Dude is cool..and humble...🎸🔥💯
This priceless piece of footage is both rewatchable and mandatory for any six strangers. Wow. What a player.
There's no "All of a sudden" with the pedal steel guitar. There's the rest of your life
Saw desert rose at a roller rink in mallets bay Vermont. Way cool. Terrific.
Great story!!!🎉
He’s a genius.
I love ❤️ the idea of constructed guitar parts, also known as Beatles, Eagles, Andrew Gold etc!
Great job and thanks for sharing this video and your music I love it
